In a quiet backwater of Amsterdam, situated just off the elegant Apollolaan, lies a small hotel with a great personality: the five-star Bilderberg Garden Hotel. Within walking distance you'll find the most fashionable of Amsterdam's shopping streets, some of the greatest museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum) and the world-famous Concertgebouw. And if you come for business, it's only a few minutes by car to the RAI and the WTC.

Please note: as from 1 February 2008 our hotel will be entirely non-smoking.

Food & beverage

For more than 25 years, “De Kersentuin” has been an established name in Amsterdam. A restaurant with a rich history where traditional dishes are served creatively and where Michel van der Kroft reigns supreme. Enjoy an 8-course “amuse diner” or let the chef surprise you!

Area information

Amsterdam is shop-heaven with its profusion of up-market boutiques, where you’ll shop till you drop. Saunter through the busy Vondel park or discover the real Amsterdam on bike. If however you are looking for a truly unforgettable experience then behold the famous Amsterdam canal streets from the water. Also in the vicinity you could also place a bet in the casino, be active in the fitness centre or undergo an invigorating beauty treatment.

It was clean and the facilities are nice. Good location. Conference
staff was helpful.

The incidentals (breakfast, internet, etc.) are overpriced and this
makes one feel that one is being nickeled and dimed. It would be better
if these were simply added into the room rate or priced reasonably.
Leaves one with a bitter taste after an otherwise nice stay. For this
reason, the consensus of our group was that we would stay somewhere else
next time.

Quiet location, good facilities

The quality of air in the rooms made it difficult to sleep, the windows didn't open and the bathroom flooded everytime as the seal on the shower door leaked.

Location is far from attractions. No concierge or spa. When asking for
things to do the front desk staff handed us a stack of brochures and
told us to read them and see what we liked. Staff seems to ignore do not
disturb signs because we put one on door and they continued to enter
after asking not to.

Pleasant and helpfull staff. Nice location and city center is accessible, but hotel is not exactly located next to it.

Confusion with the booking and breakfast is a bit expensive.

unacceptable airconditioning - far too hot and stuffy - staff appeared incapable of rectifying; keycard entry frustratingly unreliable

The sink and tub did not drain.

Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.

Check-in staff were rude. Every question seemed to put them out.
Requested late check in, had it confirmed via telephone and still had to
wait until 15.00. Did not receive room requested even though that was
also confirmed.
