It is the perfect place to enjoy the architecture of the area or to visit some of Amsterdam’s museums which are reachable with a short walk from the hotel, such as the Science centre Nemo, designed by Renzo Piano, and the Stedelijk Museum of modern art, immersed in the spectacular landscape of the surrounding piers and ships.
The theatre street Nes, the famous Dam square with the Royal Palace and the shopping district are also at walking distance.
The hotel is right in the middle of the bustling life of one of Amsterdam’s most ancient and characteristic areas, on the corner with Zeedijk, a popular street full of restaurants and cafes, leading to the picturesque square Nieuwmarkt and the Red Light District.
Being in this part of the city gives the feeling of being at the centre of everything.
Hotel Prins Hendrik had between its guests also the famous jazz musician Chet Baker.

The hotel was close to the train station and red light district. It was cheap and nasty, you get what you pay for.

The bathroom had no hot water to have a shower and the hotel staff didn't seem to be to concerned about getting it fixed.

Hotel was across from the main railway station and hand for travelling into and out of Amsterdam

We had steps immediated after entering our hotel room. They were a little tricky to navigate

i like the location

the caridor was smilly which is not confortible. there was no service for handling laguages.

Convenient location

Poorly equipped: no closet to hang up cloths, very old TV with limited selection, the hotel and room have strong smell of marijuana smoke

Its location

The hotel is very tired and in need of renovation. Breakfast ingredients were of poor quality. Coffee stewed and bitter. We had to move rooms as the first was so awful. Stains on carpet, the bathroom, although spacious, had no place to put anything. The tiles were cracked and had mould. It needed a through clean. The towels were manky.

location ideal, clean, comfortable, could control the radiator in the room to suit ourselves, would use this hotel again.

no tea making facilities in room, but I believe this is the norm in Amsterdam!

Location was good

Rooms very noisy. No non-smoking rooms yet we requested these. There was a smell of smoke from the bedclothes. We paid for four nights on arrival and on the second morning we asked for a refund. We could not speak to the manager as he was unavailable. We eventually got our money back for the final night. It was a nightmare and I would be slow to book a hotel on your website again.

Good value for money. Room was spacious. Room was clean.

The triple room we were given had steep stairs leading into the room once we opened the door. Found it extremely hard to climb with ease and impossible with luggage. We asked to be moved to another room and got one.
